Constable certification/Qualification
Delaware Tactical conducts the Constable initial 40 hour training as well as renewal qualifications. If you are interested in certification/qualification please contact us for qualifications dates and initial training courses.

A Constable must qualify on 2 day and 1 low light shoot per year. a day and night may be combined but the next day qualification must be at least 90 apart from the first. Below are some links that can help you navigate the process.
This is the 40 hour firearms course you will need to work as a constable.
You will need to provide the following equipment for the course:
- Paperwork that you will need signed
- Duty firearm
- Duty rig with holster
- Magazine pouches are required
- Pants with belt loops (NO SWEAT PANTS or YOGA PANTS)
- Good belt
- Minimum of 3 magazines - If less than 15 rounds then 4-5 magazines- no revolvers
- 1000 rounds of target ammunition for your firearm
- Handheld flashlight
- We will give you 3 attempts to qualify during the course
- If you do not have the required equipment you will be asked to reschedule. No exceptions.
Cost of the course is $650.00
Active Shooter Training
This 8 hour practical training meets the requirements for every Constable in the state of Delaware. Relevant scenarios utilizing our interactive targeting system that only we have. That means no role players needed. Our training facility is in a climate controlled space. It offers all of the obstacles you will encounter in a structure; right, left, center fed doorways, T intersections, open stairway, balcony, 2 stories, Deadly force Targeting, innocents, unarmed bad guys and more.
We provide everything the student needs for the course:
- Force on force UTM and Simuntion pistols and rifles
- Cost Ammunition required for the day of training included in the course fee
- All safety gear needed for the training

Our 3-Day class is a full hands on course. This course is BOA approved and will include the following subject matter:
- Range/Firearms Safety
- Combat shooting Methodology
- Slings
- Ballistics
- Fundamentals and techniques
- Malfunctions
- Shooting positions/carries/presentations
- Loading/unloading/reloading
3-day course - Classroom and Range
600 rounds of ammunition
$525.00 per student
There are no refunds for students who fail to pass a test.
Less Lethal Training - Handcuffs, OC, Baton, Firearms
Delaware Tactical makes it possible for you to get your Security Guard academic and tactical training all in one place. After the academic training, you are welcome to sign up for a class to be licensed to carry handcuffs, pepper spray and/or baton. We also provide the 40-hour class to become certified as an Armed Security Guard. Do it all at once, or do it once piece at a time. You have options and we’ll be here to support your career goals along the way.
Handcuffs - 4 hour class for handcuff certification $150.00
OC Spray - 4 Hour class for SABRE OC training $150.00
Baton - 8 hour class for ASP baton certification $250.00

MEDICAL - Gunshot Wound Care
Course Highlights:
Duration: 8 action-packed hours of dynamic instruction – minimal classroom time, maximum practical drills!
Core Skills Covered: Learn to deliver emergency care for gunshot wounds to arms, legs, and torso. Master the essentials: Pack the joints, TQ the limbs, and seal the box!

- Tourniquets (TQ): Apply them to yourself and others – on arms and legs – under timed pressure, without vision, in duress, and while managing threats.
- Chest Seals: Securely apply to prevent life-threatening complications from torso wounds.
- Pressure Bandages & Wound Packing: Hands-on practice packing wounds, even with simulated bloody hands for realism.
- Realistic Drills: This is no passive "show and tell" – get active!
- Apply TQs to partners and guide them through the process verbally.
- Simulate high-stress scenarios: Move to cover while engaging threats with training firearms and targeting systems.
- Work under duress: Drills include managing firearms simulators, talking through TQ application, and maintaining focus amid distractions.
- All Gear Provided: We supply everything – tourniquets, chest seals, pressure bandages, packing gauze, and safe training firearms. Just bring a sturdy belt and pants with belt loops for realistic application.
