This class will focus greatly on efficiency and economy of motion in the following areas: Holster work, Trigger control, Appropriate sight picture and Multiple threats while shooting on a combination of target types including steel. We will also introduce our Task, condition, standard drills in this course giving you measurable drills that you can monitor your progress.

We will teach you how to engage multiple threats, threat priority, transitioning between threats, scanning, movement and movement to cover and much more. We will discuss statistical data that shows 40% of the time there is more than one threat. We will run multiple drills that will give you the opportunity to learn these skillsets.

Officer involved shooting statistics (Compare this to static practice or training)

1. Annual qual (Or static target practice) is a liability test, not a fight test. Clean 100% means you can run the course. It does not mean you will hit under stress.
2. Two agencies that compared scores to street hits found no relationship.
3. Street hit rates stay in the teens to mid-thirties even in departments full of high qualifiers.
4. That is why Fast & Accurate is not “shoot a better group on a static target.” It is holster, trigger, transitions, timed threats, and thinking ahead — the stuff qual never grades.

If a student brags about 100% on a state course, the honest answer is: good. That is the floor. It is not the fight.

You must have completed our 201 Combat Handgun as a pre-requisite in order to take this course. Sorry, no exceptions.

• Pistol with at least 3 magazines. if magazines are low capacity then 4 or more
• 600 rounds of ammunition
• Holster (no nylon or leather) and quality belt (stiff)
• Clothes suitable for range work in the weather (we shoot rain or shine)
• A notebook and something to write with
