defensive handgun academy

This is a 5-session course designed to prepare you for our Advanced Combat Pistol courses and make you more confident handling your handgun in a defensive situation, polishing tactical awareness and decision making skills to create a thinking shooter.

Sessions will be held once a week for 5 weeks.

Who should join the program?

  • At least a small amount of shooting experience - understanding the function of your handgun
    • Brand new shooters should take our "New Shooter Accelerator" course prior to taking this course
  • Next step from your concealed carry class or current concealed carry holder
  • You want to start your journey learning to defend yourself with your handgun
  • You have experience shooting but not from the holster

  • Glock 48 pistol, Bravo concealment holster, and the permit to purchase course for just $450.00

What you will need:

  • Pistol with at least 3 magazines (for if they are less than 15 rd capacity
  • Holster (IWB or OWB) that does not collapse
  • Sturdy belt
  • 1000 rds of ammunition for your firearm
  • We can supply a rental pistol, magazines, holster and ammunition for and additional $300.00

Session #2 – Cadence of Fire - Gain rhythm, control and precision for faster follow up shots 

Session #3 – Staying in Motion – Stay mobile, stable and accurate while getting off the “X” 

Session #4 – Use of Cover – Maximize protection while delivering accurate, controlled shooting 

Session #5 – Thinking Shooter – Distraction and shoot/no shoot targets – make split second shooting decisions
